His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight"
5331 - Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Kharijah ibn Mus'ab al-Dab'i narrated to us, Zayd ibn Aslam, the freed slave of 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, narrated to us, from 'Ata' ibn Yasar, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Allah, the Exalted, says: 'Go back, and whoever you find in his heart an atom's weight of goodness, bring him out.'" He said: "So they will go and bring out a great many people, then they will return and say: 'Our Lord, we have not left anyone in the Fire from those whom You commanded us to bring out, except that we have brought them out.'" And when Abu Sa'id would narrate this hadith, he would say: "If you do not believe me regarding this hadith, then recite this verse: 'Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight; and if there is a good deed, He multiplies it,' the verse."
5332 - Al-Mundhir ibn Shadhan narrated to us, Zakariyya ibn 'Adi narrated to us, Hafs narrated to us, from al-Shaybani, from 'Ata' al-Wasiti, from Yasir ibn 'Amr, from 'Abdullah, who said: He mentioned four verses, and he mentioned: "Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight."
His saying, the Exalted: "and if there is a good deed"
5333 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abdullah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "and if there is a good deed": An atom's weight that exceeds his evil deeds, He will multiply it.
5334 - My father narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to us, Yahya ibn Yaman reported to us, from Sufyan, from 'Amr ibn Qays, from al-Dahhak, who said: "and if there is a good deed, He multiplies it." He said: If He finds nothing for him except one good deed, He will enter him into Paradise by it.
His saying, the Exalted: "He multiplies it"
5335 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, 'Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, from Harun ibn 'Antarah, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Sa'ib, from Zadan, who said: 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said: "The male slave and the female slave will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, and a caller will call out before the first and the last: 'This is so-and-so, son of so-and-so; whoever has a right [to claim], let him come to his right.' The woman will rejoice that the right might shift to her father, her brother, or her husband, 'for there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask about one another.' Then Allah will forgive of His right whatever He wills, and He will not forgive any of the rights of people, and he will be set up for the people, and he will call out: 'This is so-and-so, son of so-and-so; whoever has a right, let him come to his right.' He will say: 'The world has passed away, from where shall I give them their rights?' He will say: 'Take from his good deeds and give to every one who has a right his right according to his demand.' If he was a protege of Allah, and there remained for him an atom's weight, Allah will multiply it for him until He enters him into Paradise. Then he recited to us: 'Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight.' He said: 'Enter Paradise.' And if he was a wretched slave, the angel will say: 'His good deeds are exhausted, yet many creditors remain for him.' He will say: 'Take from their evil deeds and add them to his evil deeds,' then a decree will be stamped for him from the Fire."
5336 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abdullah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "and if there is a good deed, He multiplies it." As for the polytheist, the punishment will be lightened for him on the Day of Resurrection, but he will never exit the Fire.
His saying, the Exalted: "and gives from Himself a great reward"
[The first view]
5337 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, Abu Khalid al-Ahmar Sulayman ibn Hayyan narrated to us, from Dawud ibn Abi Hind, from 'Ali ibn Zayd, from Abu 'Uthman, from Abu Hurayrah: "and gives from Himself a great reward," he said: Paradise. It was narrated from al-Hasan, Sa'id ibn Jubayr, 'Ikrimah, al-Dahhak, and Qatadah similarly.
The second view:
5338 - My father narrated to us, Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Fudayl—meaning: Ibn Marzuq—narrated to us, from 'Atiyyah al-'Awfi, 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar narrated to me, who said: This verse was revealed concerning the Bedouins: "Whoever comes with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof." He said: So a man said: "What is for the Emigrants (Muhajirun), O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman?" He said: "What is better than that: 'Indeed, Allah does not do injustice, [even] as much as an atom's weight; and if there is a good deed, He multiplies it, and gives from Himself a great reward.'"
His saying, the Exalted: "a great reward"
5339 - My father narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn Salih ibn Muslim narrated to us, Fudayl reported to us, from 'Atiyyah, 'Abdullah—meaning: Ibn 'Umar—narrated to me, who said: This verse was revealed: "and gives from Himself a great reward" after the multiplications. And when He calls something great, it is indeed great."
