الترجمة · EN

His saying, the Exalted: "And sufficient is Allah as an ally and sufficient is Allah as a helper."

5388 - My father related to us, he said: Ibn Maysarah narrated to us, Salih ibn Abi Khalid narrated to us, and 'Uthman ibn Za'idah informed me, he said: I heard Wuhayb ibn Ward saying: Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, said: "O Son of Adam, remember Me when you are angry, so that I may remember you when I am angry, and I will not destroy you among those whom I destroy. And when you are wronged, be patient and be content with My assistance, for My support for you is better than your support for your own self."

His saying, the Exalted: "Of those who are Jews, they distort"

5389 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding his saying: "They distort the words from their [proper] places," meaning: The Jews' alteration of the Torah.

His saying, the Exalted: "the words"

5390 - My father narrated to me, Abu Salih, the scribe of al-Layth, narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas: "They distort the words from their [proper] places," meaning: They distort the limits of Allah in the Torah.

His saying, the Exalted: "from their [proper] places"

5391 - Abu Zayd al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam saying regarding His saying: "They distort the words from their [proper] places," he said: They do not place them upon what Allah revealed.

His saying, the Exalted: "And they say, 'We hear and we disobey'"

5392 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "We hear and we disobey": We hear what you say and we do not obey you.

His saying, the Exalted: "and hear"

5393 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "and hear, may you not be heard," they are saying to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: Listen.
