His saying, the Exalted: "It shall have a share thereof."
[5713] My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding: "It shall have a share thereof," meaning: a portion thereof.
His saying, the Exalted: "And whoever intercedes for an evil cause."
[The First Interpretation]
5714 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "And whoever intercedes for an evil cause," he said: The intercession of some people for others.
The Second Interpretation:
5715 - My father narrated to us, Ibn Abi 'Umar al-'Adani narrated to us, he said: Sufyan was asked about His saying: "And whoever intercedes for an evil cause, it shall have a portion thereof," he said: Whoever institutes an evil practice.
His saying, the Exalted: "It shall have a portion thereof."
[5716] Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "It shall have a portion thereof," he said: As for "kifl" (portion), it is the share.
5717 - My father narrated to us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far narrated to us, from his father, from al-Rabi' regarding His saying: "It shall have a portion thereof," he said: A share thereof, and what an evil share it is.
5718 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray' narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "It shall have a portion thereof," and the "kifl" is the sin.
His saying, the Exalted: "And Allah is ever a Witness over all things."
[The First Interpretation]
5719 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And Allah is ever a Witness (Muqitan) over all things," he said: A Protector. And it is narrated from 'Atiyyah, Qatadah, 'Ata', and Matar al-Warraq similarly.
The Second Interpretation:
5720 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahim ibn Mutarrif narrated to us, 'Isa ibn Yunus narrated to us, from Isma'il, from a man, from 'Abd Allah ibn Rawahah, and a man asked him about the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And Allah is ever a Witness over all things," he said: He provides for (yuqitu) every person according to his deeds.
