5733 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id regarding His saying: "Indeed, Allah is ever, over all things," meaning regarding greetings and other things, "a Hasiban (Accountant)," meaning: a Witness (Shahidan).

His saying, the Exalted: "Allah."

5734 - Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, Isma'il ibn 'Atiyyah narrated to us, from Abu Raja', a man narrated to me from Jabir ibn Zayd that he said: The Greatest Name of Allah is "Allah." Have you not heard that He says: "He is Allah, than whom there is no god except Him"?

His saying, the Exalted: "Allah—there is no deity except Him."

[5735] Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab narrated to us, Bishr narrated to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "There is no deity except Him," he said: It is a profession of Oneness (Tawhid).

5736 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "There is no deity except Allah," meaning there is no one else with Him who is a partner in His affair.

His saying, the Exalted: "He will surely assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt."

[5737] 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam ibn Abi Iyas narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding His saying: "About which there is no doubt," meaning no doubt about it.

Abu Muhammad said: We have already written about this in the Tafsir of Surat al-Baqarah.

His saying, the Exalted: "And who is more truthful than Allah in statement?"

[5738] Ahmad ibn Sinan al-Wasiti narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abis, some people from the companions of 'Abd Allah narrated to me from 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud that he used to say: The best of stories is this Qur'an.

His saying, the Exalted: "Then what is the matter with you [becoming] two groups regarding the hypocrites?"
