His saying, the Almighty: "Then Allah conferred favor upon you."

5838 - Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Ahmasi narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Habib ibn Abi 'Amra, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr: "Then Allah conferred favor upon you," meaning He manifested Islam.

5839 - It was mentioned from Qays ibn Salim, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr: "Then Allah conferred favor upon you," meaning He guided you.

5840 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "Then Allah conferred favor upon you," he says: He accepted your repentance. So Usama swore that he would not fight a man who says 'there is no god but Allah' after that man, and [he remembered] what he encountered from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) concerning it.

His saying, the Almighty: "So investigate. Indeed, Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted."

5841 - Al-Ahmasi narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Habib ibn Abi 'Amra, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "So investigate," he said: It is a threat from Allah twice: "Indeed, Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted."

His saying, the Almighty: "Not equal are..."

5842 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "Not equal are the sedentary [from among the believers]"—he says: Not equal in merit.

His saying, the Almighty: "...the sedentary from among the believers."

5843 - With the same chain from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "The sedentary from among the believers," he said: Those who remain behind from the enemy among the believers, and the Mujahid [the one who strives in the cause of Allah].

5844 - Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Muhall al-San'ani narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, 'Abd al-Karim informed me that Miqsam, the freed slave of 'Abd Allah ibn al-Harith, informed him that he heard Ibn 'Abbas saying: "Not equal are the sedentary who stayed back from Badr and those who went out for it."
