His saying, the Exalted: "So observe how was the end of the deniers."
4204 - And by the same chain, I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "So observe how was the end of the deniers," he said: So they should observe how Allah punished the people of Noah, the people of Lot, the people of Salih, and the nations whom Allah punished.
4205 - Musa ibn Harun al-Tusi reported to us in what he wrote to me, al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Marwudhi narrated to us, Shayban narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding "So observe how was the end of the deniers," he said: The end of the predecessors and the nations before you. He said: Their evil end was that Allah allowed them to enjoy themselves for a little while, then they ended up in the Fire.
4206 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid informed us, Yazid, meaning Ibn Zuray', narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding "So observe how was the end of the deniers," he said: Woe, by Allah, was the end of the deniers! Allah destroyed them, annihilated them, and then consigned them to the Fire.
His saying, the Exalted: "This is a clarification for the people"

4207 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, al-Thawri informed us, from Bayan, from al-Sha'bi regarding His saying: "This is a clarification for the people," he said: A clarification from blindness.
And the second interpretation:
4208 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas informed us, from Yazid, from Sa'id, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "This is a clarification for the people," and it is this Qur'an; Allah made it a clarification for the people in general.
And the third interpretation:
4209 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "This is a clarification for the people," meaning: This is an exposition for the people if they accept it.
His saying, the Exalted: "and guidance"

4210 - Al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, al-Thawri informed us, from Bayan, from al-Sha'bi regarding "This is a clarification for the people and guidance," he said: Guidance from misguidance.
And the second interpretation:
4211 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad narrated to us, Musa ibn Muhkam narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi narrated to us, 'Abbad ibn Mansur narrated to us, he said: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "and guidance," he said: It is the Qur'an.
