His saying, the Exalted: "Blessed."

3839 - 'Amr ibn Thawr al-Qaysari informed us in what he wrote to me, Muhammad ibn Yusuf al-Firyabi narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Simak ibn Harb, from Khalid ibn 'Ar'arah who said: A man asked 'Ali about the first house established for people: "at Bakkah, blessed." He said: "It is the first house in which blessing and guidance were placed, and it is the Maqam (Station) of Ibrahim."

3840 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn 'Ali narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim informed us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf narrated to us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding His saying: "Blessed," he said: "We have made it secure, and He has placed goodness and blessing within it."

3841 - And by the same chain from Muqatil ibn Hayyan: "And guidance for the worlds," meaning by guidance, their Qiblah.

[His saying, the Exalted: "For the worlds"]

[The First Aspect]

3842 - My father narrated to us, 'Ubayd Allah ibn Musa narrated to us, Abu Ja'far—meaning al-Razi—informed us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding "the worlds," he said: "Humanity is a world, the jinn are a world, and other than that there are eighteen thousand worlds, or fourteen thousand worlds of angels upon the earth. The earth has four corners; in every corner there are three thousand and five hundred worlds that He created for His worship."

The Second Aspect:

3843 - My father narrated to us, Hisham ibn Khalid narrated to us, al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, al-Furat—meaning Ibn al-Walid—narrated to us, from Mughith ibn Sumayy, from Tabi' regarding His saying: "For the worlds," he said: "The worlds are a thousand nations: six hundred in the sea, and four hundred on the land."

His saying, the Exalted: "In it are clear signs."

3844 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd informed me in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my uncle al-Husayn narrated to me, my father narrated to me, from my grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "In it are clear signs: the Station of Ibrahim and the Mash'ar (Ritual Site)."
