His saying, the Exalted: "And our excess in our affair"
4298 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi informed us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to us, my paternal uncle al-Husayn narrated to me, from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "And our excess in our affair" he says: Our sins.
4299 - My father narrated to us, Abu Hudhayfah narrated to us, Shibl narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "Our excess in our affair" means our sins and our wronging of our own selves.
4300 - Ahmad ibn al-Azhar informed us in what he wrote to me, Wahb ibn Jarir narrated to us, from his father, from 'Ali ibn al-Hakam, from al-Dahhak regarding his saying: "And our excess in our affair" means the major sins.
His saying, the Exalted: "And plant firmly our feet"
4301 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "And plant firmly our feet" he said: And ask Him as they asked Him to plant your feet firmly.
His saying, the Exalted: "And give us victory over the disbelieving people"
4302 - And by the same chain, Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "And give us victory over the disbelieving people" he said: Seek His victory over the disbelieving people, for all of this from their saying had occurred, and their prophet had been killed, yet they did not do as you have done.
His saying, the Exalted: "So Allah gave them"
4303 - 'Ubayd Allah ibn Isma'il al-Baghdadi narrated to us, Khalaf ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Sulaym ibn 'Isa, from Hamzah, from al-A'mash: "So Allah gave them the reward of this world" meaning: So Allah gave them.
His saying, the Exalted: "the reward of this world"
4304 - My father narrated to us, Hisham ibn 'Ammar narrated to us, al-Walid ibn Muslim narrated to us, he narrated from one who heard al-Hasan, meaning regarding His saying: "So Allah gave them the reward of this world" the victory and triumph.

٤٢٩٩ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ، ثنا شِبْلٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١»
إِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا خَطَايَانَا وَظُلْمَنَا أَنْفُسَنَا.
٤٣٠٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الأَزْهَرِ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ، ثنا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ قَوْلُهُ: وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا فَهِيَ الْخَطَايَا الْكَبَائِرُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا
٤٣٠١ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا سَلَمَةُ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ: وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا قَالَ: وَاسْأَلُوهُ كَمَا سَأَلُوهُ أَنْ يُثَبِّتَ أَقْدَامَكُمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
٤٣٠٢ - وَبِهِ قَالَ: قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ: وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ قَالَ:
وَاسْتَنْصِرُوهُ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ، فَكُلُّ هَذَا مِنْ قَوْلِهِمْ قَدْ كَانَ، وَقَدْ قُتِلَ نَبِيُّهُمْ فَلَمْ يَفْعَلُوا كَمَا فَعَلْتُمْ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: فَأَتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ
٤٣٠٣ - حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، ثنا خَلَفُ بْنُ هشام، عن سليم ابن عِيسَى، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ فَآتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا يَعْنِي: فَأَعْطَاهُمُ اللَّهُ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا
٤٣٠٤ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ثنا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا مَنْ سَمِعَ الْحَسَنَ يَعْنِي فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَآتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ ثَوَابَ الدُّنْيَا الفتح والنصر.
