[Second Aspect:]

[6992] Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad al-Sabah narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from Muhammad, from al-Hudhali, who said: Al-Husayn said regarding the saying of Allah: "The Book and the Wisdom," he said: The Book is the Qur'an.

His saying, the Exalted: "And the Wisdom"

[First Aspect]

[6993] Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Asbat ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Abu Bakr al-Hudhali narrated to us from al-Hasan regarding "The Book and the Wisdom," he said: The Wisdom is the Sunnah. A similar narration was reported from Abu Malik, Qatadah, Muqatil ibn Hayyan, and Yahya ibn Kathir.

Second Aspect:

[6994] My father Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "The Wisdom," meaning: Prophethood.

Third Aspect:

[6995] 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam narrated to me from his father, who said: The Wisdom is the intellect in religion.

His saying, the Exalted: "And the Torah and the Gospel"

[6996] My father narrated to us, Ahmad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ja'far narrated to us from his father, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And the Torah and the Gospel," he said: 'Isa (Jesus) used to read the Torah and the Gospel.

[6997] My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Idris narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us regarding: "And the Torah and the Gospel," i.e., a Book they had not heard of, which he brought to them, and a Book they had heard of, which had passed and its knowledge had been erased from among them, so he responded to them with it.

His saying, the Exalted: "And when you fashion from clay like the form of a bird by My permission"

[6998] My father narrated to us, al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' informed us, 'Abd Allah ibn Idris narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, who said: Then He placed upon his hands—meaning 'Isa—matters by which he would indicate His power in raising the dead, and the creation of whatever He willed to create, whether visible or invisible. So he would breathe into the clay, and it would become a bird by the permission of Allah.
