His saying, the Most High: "He will surely gather you to the Day of Resurrection."
7143 - My father narrated to us, Harmalah ibn Yahya narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Maysarah al-Hadrami narrated to us, from Abu Hani’, from Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman, from ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Amr ibn al-‘As, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: How will you be when Allah gathers you, as arrows are gathered in a quiver, for fifty thousand years during which He will not look at you?
His saying, the Almighty and Exalted: "There is no doubt in it. Those who have lost their own selves."
7144 - My father narrated to us, Abu al-Yaman al-Hakam ibn Nafi‘ narrated to us, Hariz ibn ‘Uthman narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi ‘Awf, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Mas‘ud al-Fazari, from Abu al-Darda’, who said: The "rayb" (doubt) means: skepticism.
7145 - It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas, Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, Abu Malik, Nafi‘ the freed slave of Ibn ‘Umar, ‘Ata’ ibn Abi Rabah, Abu al-‘Aliyah, al-Rabi‘ ibn Anas, Qatadah, Muqatil ibn Hayyan, al-Suddi, and Isma‘il ibn Abi Khalid that they said: The "rayb" means: skepticism.
His saying, the Most High: "And to Him belongs whatever dwells in the night and the day, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."
7146 - Ahmad ibn ‘Uthman ibn Hakim reported to us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And to Him belongs whatever dwells in the night and the day," he says: That which has settled in the night and the day.
His saying: "Say, 'Is it other than Allah that I should take as a protector?'"
7147 - And by the same chain, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "Say, 'Is it other than Allah that I should take as a protector?'" As for the protector, it is the one who takes charge of him and acknowledges His Lordship.
His saying: "The Originator of the heavens and the earth."
7148 - Muhammad ibn ‘Ammar ibn al-Harith narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki narrated to us, ‘Amr ibn Abi Qays narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Muhajir, from Mujahid, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: "The Originator of the heavens and the earth," he said: The Creator of the heavens and the earth.
