7149 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, Ma‘mar reported to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "The Originator of the heavens and the earth," he said: The Creator of the heavens and the earth.
His saying, the Most High: "And He feeds."
7150 - Ahmad ibn ‘Uthman ibn Hakim reported to us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And He feeds," he said: Meaning, He provides sustenance.
His saying, the Almighty and Exalted: "And He is not fed."
7151 - And by the same chain, from al-Suddi, regarding His saying: "And He is not fed," he said: Meaning, He is not provided sustenance.
His saying: "Say, 'Indeed, I have been commanded to be the first of those who submit,'" the verse.
7152 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn ‘Umarah reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "The first of those who submit," meaning: The first of those who believe.
His saying: "Say, 'Indeed, I fear, if I should disobey my Lord,'" a punishment, he says: A chastisement.
His saying: "He who is averted from it that Day, He has granted him mercy."
7154 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Ibn Abi ‘Umar narrated to us, Bishr ibn al-Sari narrated to us, Harun al-Nahwi said: In the recitation of Ubayy: "He whom Allah averts."
7155 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Razzaq reported to us, Ma‘mar reported to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "He who is averted from it that Day, He has granted him mercy," he said: He from whom the punishment is averted.
His saying: "And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him; and if He touches you with good..."
7156 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan reported to us, Salamah narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "Over all things is competent," meaning: No one other than You has the power over this by Your authority and Your ability.
His saying, the Most High: "And He is the Irresistible, above His servants."
7157 - ‘Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam Abu Ja‘far narrated to us, from al-Rabi‘, from Abu al-‘Aliyah regarding His saying: "The Wise," he said: The Wise in His command.
