7171 - It was narrated from Khusayf that he said: They know the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and his description just as they know their own sons.
7172 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-‘Abbas reported to us, Yazid narrated to us, Sa‘id narrated to us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "Just as they know their sons," he says: They know that Islam is the religion of Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; they find that written with them in the Torah and the Gospel.
His saying, the Almighty: "And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah?" - to the end of the verse.
7173 - Abu ‘Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani narrated to us, Hafs ibn ‘Umar al-‘Awfi reported to us, al-Hakam ibn Aban narrated to us, from ‘Ikrimah, he said: al-Nadr, who was from the tribe of ‘Abd al-Dar, said: "When the Day of Resurrection comes, al-Lat and al-‘Uzza will intercede for me." Then Allah the Almighty revealed: "And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie against Allah or denies His verses? Indeed, the wrongdoers will not succeed."
His saying, the Almighty: "And the Day We gather them together."
[The First Aspect]
7174 - ‘Amr al-Awdi narrated to us, Waki‘ narrated to us, from al-A‘mash, he said: I heard them mentioning from Mujahid, regarding "And the Day We gather them," he said: The gathering is death.
7175 - From ‘Ata' al-Khurasani, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding His saying: "Then their trial," he said: Their excuse.
7176 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Minjab narrated to us, Bishr ibn ‘Umarah reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding His saying: "Then their trial," and he used to recite it thus, he says: Their argument.
[7177] - My father narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Musa narrated to us, Hisham ibn Yusuf reported to us, from Ibn Jurayj, and it was narrated from Qatadah similarly.
And the Second Aspect:
7178 - al-‘Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazyad al-Bayruti informed us by way of reading, Muhammad ibn Shu‘ayb ibn Shapur informed me, ‘Uthman ibn ‘Ata' informed me, from his father: As for "Then their trial," it means their ordeal when they were tested was nothing other than that they said: "By Allah, our Lord, we were not idolaters."
٧١٧١ - وَرُوِيَ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: يَعْرِفُونَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَصِفَتَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ.
٧١٧٢ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أنا الْعَبَّاسُ، ثنا يَزِيدُ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلُهُ:
كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ يَقُولُ: يَعْرِفُونَ أَنَّ الإِسْلامَ دِينُ اللَّهِ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، يَجِدُونَ ذَلِكَ مَكْتُوبًا عِنْدَهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَالإِنْجِيلِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كذبا- الآَيَةِ
٧١٧٣ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الطِّهْرَانِيُّ، أنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْعَوْفِيُّ، ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّضْرُ وَهُوَ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الدَّارِ: إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفَعَتْ لِي اللاتُ وَالْعُزَّى فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ إِنَّهُ لا يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَيَوْمَ نحشرهم جميعا

٧١٧٤ - حَدَّثنا عَمْرٌو الأَوْدِيُّ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُمْ يَذْكُرُونَ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ: وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ قَالَ: الْحَشْرُ: الْمَوْتُ.
٧١٧٥ - عَنْ عَطَاءٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: قَوْلَهُ ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِتْنَتُهُمْ قَالَ:
مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ.
٧١٧٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا مِنْجَابٌ، أَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَوْقٍ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَوْلَهُ: ثُمَّ لم تكن فتنتهم، وكذلك كان يقرأها، يَقُولُ:
حُجَّتُهُمْ [٧١٧٧] حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أنا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، وَرُوِيَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ.
وَالْوَجْهُ الثَّانِي:
٧١٧٨ - أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزْيَدٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ قِرَاءَةً، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورَ، أَخْبَرَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ: أَمَّا لَمْ تَكُنْ فِتْنَتُهُمْ فَلَمْ تَكُنْ بَلِيَّتُهُمْ حِينَ ابْتُلُوا إِلا أَنْ قَالُوا وَاللَّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ.
