His saying: "Nay, it has become evident to them"

7213 - al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma‘mar narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Nay, it has become evident to them that which they used to conceal before," he said: From their deeds.

7214 - Ahmad ibn ‘Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed us in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "Nay, it has become evident to them," he says: Their deeds have become evident to them in the Hereafter.

His saying: "that which they used to conceal before"

7215 - And by the same chain, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "that which they used to conceal before," he says: Their deeds have become evident to them in the Hereafter, those which they used to conceal in the worldly life.

His saying: "And if"

7216 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Minjab narrated to us, Bishr ibn ‘Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: Everything in the Qur’an [introduced with] "And if" (wa-law) means that it will never happen.

His saying, Exalted is He: "And if they were returned"

7217 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, who said: Allah, Glory be to Him, informed that if they were returned, they would not be able to attain guidance, and He said: "And if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden, and indeed they are liars."

7218 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-‘Abbas narrated to us, Yazid ibn Zuray‘ informed us, from Sa‘id, from Qatadah regarding: "And if they were returned, they would return to that which they were forbidden," he says: Even if Allah were to provide them with a worldly life like their [current] worldly life.

His saying: "they would return to that which they were forbidden"

7219 - And by the same chain, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "they would return to that which they were forbidden," he said: They would return to their deeds, the evil deeds.

His saying: "And they said, 'There is not but our worldly life'"

7220 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj narrated to us, who said:
