his father, from 'Atiyya, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "The day the Trumpet is blown," he says: The first blowing of the Trumpet. Have you not heard that He says: "And the Trumpet is blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will fall dead except whom Allah wills. Then it is blown a second time, and at once they will be standing, looking on."
His saying: "Knower of the unseen and the witnessed."
7485 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiya ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talha, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his saying: "Knower of the unseen and the witnessed," meaning that the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed is the One who will blow the Trumpet.
7486 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, al-Muqaddami narrated to us, 'Amir ibn Salih narrated to us, from Abu Bakr al-Hudhali, from al-Hasan, who said: The witnessed is what you have seen of His creation, and the unseen is what has been absent from you, what you have not seen.
His saying: "And He is the Wise, the Acquainted."
7487 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam narrated to us, Abu Ja'far al-Razi narrated to us, from al-Rabi', from Abu al-'Aliya regarding his saying: "The Wise," he said: Wise in His command.
7488 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Salama narrated to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: And Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me regarding His saying: "The Wise," he said: The Wise in His excuse and His mercy to His servants.
His saying, the Exalted: "And [mention] when Abraham said to his father Azar."

7489 - Ahmad ibn 'Amr ibn Abi 'Asim al-Nabil narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Abu 'Asim narrated to us, Shabib informed us, 'Ikrima narrated to us, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And [mention] when Abraham said to his father Azar," he means by Azar: the idol. And the name of Abraham's father is: Yazar. His mother's name is: Mathani. His wife's name is: Sarah. And the mother of Ishmael's name is: Hajar, and she is Abraham's concubine.
7490 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim informed me in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "And [mention] when Abraham said to his father Azar," he said: His father's name is Azar. [Others] said: Rather, his name is Tarah, and the name of the idol is Azar. He said: "Do you take idols..."
