The second aspect:

8710 - Muhammad ibn Sa'id informed me in what he wrote to me, my father told me, my paternal uncle al-Husayn told me, from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas: His statement, "then they do not stop," he says: They do not grow weary.

The third aspect:

8711 - My father narrated to us, 'Ubaydah ibn Sulayman told us, Ibn al-Mubarak reported to us via reading, from Ibn Jarir, from Ibn Kathir regarding "then they do not stop," he said: The jinn extend their brothers among mankind, then the humans, the people of shirk (polytheism), do not stop; those who are mindful do not refrain, they do not take heed, and faith does not restrain them.

His statement, the Exalted: "And when you do not bring them a sign..." to the end of the verse.

8712 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah reported to us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his statement: "Why did you not contrive it?" They say: Why did you not fabricate it from yourself? (1)

8713 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih told us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih told me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding his statement: "Why did you not contrive it?" He says: Why did you not innovate it? He says: Why did you not receive it and then cause it to be delayed?

8714 - My father narrated to us, 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Munib told us, Abu Mu'adh al-Nahwi told us, 'Ubayd ibn Sulayman told us, from al-Dahhak regarding his statement: "And when you do not bring them a sign, they say, 'Why did you not contrive it?'" He says: Why did you not delay it so that it could be brought down from heaven?

8715 - Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-'Awfi informed me in what he wrote to me, my father told me, my paternal uncle told me, from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn 'Abbas: His statement, "they say, 'Why did you not contrive it?'" They say: Why did you not accept it from Allah?

8716 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman informed me in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn Mufaddal told us, Asbat told us, from al-Suddi regarding his statement: "Why did you not contrive it?" He says: Why did you not innovate it? (2)
