8251 - My father told us, Nasr ibn ‘Ali told us, my father informed us, from Shu‘bah, from Isma‘il, from Abu Salih, regarding His saying: "And from behind them," he said: The Hereafter; I will cause them to doubt it and distance it from them.
It was narrated from Ibrahim al-Nakha‘i, Mujahid, al-Hakam ibn ‘Utaybah, and al-Suddi similar to this.
The third interpretation:
8252 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa’ told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid(1): "And from behind them," he says: From where they cannot see.
His saying, the Almighty: "And from their right"

8253 - My father told us, Abu Salih told us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih told us, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas: His saying: "And from their right," [meaning] I will confuse their religious affairs for them.
8254 - My father told us, Nasr ibn ‘Ali al-Jahdami told us, my father informed me, from Shu‘bah, from Isma‘il, from Abu Salih, regarding His saying: "And from their right," he said: The revelation; I will cause them to doubt it. It was narrated from ‘Ikrimah similar to this.
The second interpretation:
8255 - My father told us, Mu‘adh ibn Asad told us, al-Fadl ibn Musa told us, Salamah ibn Shabur informed us, from ‘Atiyyah, from Ibn ‘Abbas: His saying: "And from their right," he said: From the direction of their good deeds.
8256 - My father told us, Ahmad ibn al-Sabah told us, ‘Abd al-Wahhab told us, Sa‘id informed us, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan: His saying: "And from their right," he says: From the direction of good deeds; he will hold them back from them. It was narrated from Mujahid, Ibrahim al-Nakha‘i, and al-Hakam ibn ‘Utaybah similar to this.
