10002 - My father narrated to us, Nu'aym ibn Hammad narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Thawr narrated to us from Ma'mar from Ibn Abi Najih from Mujahid: "They would not observe regarding you any pact (ill) or obligation (dhimmah)," he says: They do not observe Allah, nor anyone else.
His saying, Exalted is He: "Pact (ill)"

10003 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us from Abu Rawq from al-Dahhak from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "They would not observe regarding you any pact (ill) or obligation (dhimmah)," he said: The ill is kinship. And the same was reported from al-Dahhak.
The Second Aspect:
10004 - Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us from Sufyan from Ibn Abi Najih from Mujahid: "Ill," he said: Allah, Exalted and Majestic is He. And it was reported from Sa'id ibn Jubayr that he said: A deity (ilah).
The Third Aspect:
10005 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us from Ibn Abi Najih from Mujahid: "Ill," he said: A treaty ('ahd). And something similar was reported from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam.
The Fourth Aspect:
10006 - My father narrated to us, Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Thawr informed us from Ma'mar from Qatadah regarding "ill," he said: The ill is the alliance.
His saying, Exalted is He: "Or obligation (dhimmah)"

10007 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us from Abu Rawq from al-Dahhak from Ibn 'Abbas regarding: "Any pact or obligation (dhimmah)," he said: The dhimmah is the treaty. And the same was reported from Mujahid in one of the narrations, and from Qatadah, and from al-Dahhak in one of his two sayings.
The Second Aspect:
10008 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman informed us—in what he wrote to me—, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "They would not observe regarding you any pact or obligation," he says: Neither a treaty, nor kinship, nor a covenant. And it was reported from Sa'id ibn Jubayr that he said: The contract ('aqd).
