[The Sixth Aspect:]
10070 - Bahr ibn Nasr narrated to us, 'Abd Allah ibn Wahb narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, from Abu al-Rahawayh, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr, from Abu al-Darda', who said: None maintains the mid-morning prayer (subhat al-duha) except an 'Awwah (one who constantly turns to God).
The Seventh Aspect:
10071 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Talhah ibn Sinan narrated to us, from Layth, from a companion of his, from Mujahid, who said: The 'Awwah is the one who is protective (al-hafiz), the man who commits a sin in secret and then repents for it in secret.
The Eighth Aspect:
10072 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Shu'ayb ibn Salamah al-Ansari narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, Zakariyya informed us, from al-Sha'bi, regarding his saying: "'Awwah" [means] the one who glorifies God (al-musabbih).
His saying, the Exalted: "Forbearing (halim)."
10073 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Sa'id ibn 'Abd Allah al-Tallas narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, from a man he named, from al-Husayn, regarding His saying: "Indeed, Ibrahim was 'Awwah, halim (forbearing)," he said: The halim is the merciful [one].
His saying, the Exalted: "And Allah was not to lead a people astray after He had guided them."
10074 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Warqa' narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding "And Allah was not to lead a people astray after He had guided them until He makes clear to them what they should avoid," he said: Allah's clarification for the believers is specifically regarding seeking forgiveness for the polytheists, and generally in clarifying His obedience and His disobedience, whether they have performed them or abandoned them.
10075 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Abu al-Jumahir narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to us, from Sa'id, regarding His saying: "And Allah was not to lead a people astray after He had guided them until He makes clear to them what they should avoid," he said: [This refers to] what they commit and what they desist from. Indeed, Allah is All-Knowing of everything.
