his father, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, regarding His saying: "and give glad tidings to those who have believed that they have a truthful standing with their Lord": He said: A truthful reward with their Lord.
His saying, the Exalted: "with their Lord"
10204 - My father told us, 'Ulayyah ibn Muhammad al-Tanafisi told us, Yahya ibn Adam told us, Fudayl ibn Marzuq told us, from Milak ibn al-Jufun—meaning 'Amr—from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "a truthful standing with their Lord": He said: An intercessor for them on the Day of Resurrection.
His saying, the Exalted: "The disbelievers said, 'Indeed, this is a clear magician.'"
10205 - Muhammad ibn Sa'id informed us in what he wrote to me, my father told me, my paternal uncle told me, from his father, from 'Atiyyah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "The disbelievers said, 'Indeed, this is a clear magician.'": This only increased them in disbelief.
10206 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "The disbelievers said, 'Indeed, this is a clear magician.'": They looked at him but did not believe in him.
His saying, the Exalted: "Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth"
10207 - My father told us, Yunus Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yazid ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid told us in Mecca, Ibrahim ibn Hamzah told us, from 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Muhammad, from Sa'd ibn Ishaq ibn Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, that he said: This verse was revealed: "Indeed, your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days." A great caravan met [a group of] people who appeared as if they were from the Arabs, and they said to them: "Who are you?" They replied: "We are from the Jinn; we came out from Medina, brought out by this verse."
10208 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Muhammad ibn 'Isa told us, Salamah told us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq told us: He originated the heavens and the earth, and they were not in existence, by His power. He did not seek help in that from any of His creation, nor did He have any partner in anything of His command. His authority is overwhelming, His command is effective; when He wills something, He says to it: "Be, and it is." So He finished the creation of the heavens and the earth in six days.
10209 - Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani informed us in what he wrote to me, Isma'il ibn 'Abd al-Karim told us, 'Abd al-Samad ibn Ma'qil informed me that he heard his uncle Wahb ibn Munabbih say: 'Uzayr said: O Lord, You commanded the water, so it congealed in the middle of the air and You made from it seven [heavens] and named them the heavens.
