So he called upon his Lord, and there was revealed: "Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth... are signs for people who possess intelligence" - so let them reflect upon them.

10232 - My father told us, Hisham ibn Khalid told us, Shu'ayb ibn Ishaq told us, Sa'id ibn Abi 'Aruba told us, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "Indeed, those who do not expect the meeting with Us" up to His saying: "are heedless of Our signs," he said: If you come to him, you will find him a man of the world; for it he rejoices, for it he grieves, for it he is pleased, and for it he is angered.

His saying, the Exalted: "and are reassured by it"

10233 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, from Warqa', from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "and are reassured by it," similar to His saying: "Whoever desires the life of this world and its adornment - We fully repay them for their deeds therein."

10234 - My father told us, 'Abd Allah ibn Abi Ziyad al-Qatawani told us, Sayyar ibn Hatim al-'Anazi told us, 'Abd Allah ibn Shumayt told us, Hawshab told us, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "Indeed, those who do not expect the meeting with Us and are satisfied with the life of this world and are reassured by it," al-Hasan said: By Allah, they did not adorn it nor did they exalt it until they became satisfied with it.
