الترجمة · EN

His saying, the Exalted: "That we were unaware of your worship."

10363 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding his saying: "Unaware of your worship," he says: "To everything that was worshipped other than Allah."

10364 - My father told us, 'Isa ibn Ja'far told us, Muslim ibn Khalid told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid: "'That we were unaware of your worship,' then the gods will say to them: 'By Allah, we did not hear, nor see, nor understand, nor did we know that you were worshipping us.'"

His saying, the Exalted: "There, every soul will realize what it has put forth."

[The first interpretation]

10365 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding his saying: "There, every soul will realize [tablu] what it has put forth," he said: "It will be tested."

The second interpretation:

10366 - My father told us, Muslim ibn Ibrahim told us, al-Rabi' ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Khattaf told us, he said: I heard al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "There, every soul will realize [tablu] what it has put forth," he said: "There, every soul will submit."

The third interpretation:

10367 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman told us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali told us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat told us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi: Regarding his saying: "There, every soul will realize [tablu] what it has put forth," he says: "What every soul has sought."

His saying, the Exalted: "What it has put forth [aslafat]"

10368 - My father told us, Muslim ibn Ibrahim told us, al-Rabi' ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Khattaf told us, he said: I heard al-Husayn, regarding His saying: "What it has put forth," both said: "It has done." And it was narrated from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam something similar to that.

His saying, the Exalted: "And they will be returned to Allah, their true Master."

10369 - It was mentioned to me from Muhammad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Umar, Yazid ibn Harun told us, from Qays, he said: 'Uthman ibn 'Affan entered upon 'Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with both of them, and said: "How do you find yourself?" He said: "Being returned to my true Master."
