His saying: "Indeed, to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth," [until the end of the] verse.
10415 - Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Muhammad ibn al-'Ala' Abu Kurayb told us, 'Uthman ibn Sa'id al-Zayyat told us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah told us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas, "They do not know," he says: "They do not understand."
His saying, the Exalted: "He gives life and causes death, and to Him you will be returned."
10416 - Muhammad ibn al-'Abbas, the freed slave of Banu Hashim, told us, Muhammad ibn 'Amr told us, Salamah told us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said regarding "He gives life and causes death": "He hastens what He wills and delays what He wills of that, [specifically] regarding their terms by His power."
His saying, the Exalted: "O mankind, there has to come to you instruction from your Lord."
10417 - Al-Hasan ibn al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd al-Razzaq informed us, al-Thawri told us, from Bayan, from al-Sha'bi, regarding His saying: "Instruction (maw'izah)," he said: "Instruction from ignorance."
His saying, the Exalted: "And healing for what is in the breasts."
10418 - Abu Zur'ah mentioned it, al-Hasan ibn 'Atiyyah told us, Isra'il told us, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Khaws, from 'Abd Allah, that he said regarding the Quran: "There are two healings: the Quran and honey. The Quran is a healing for what is in the breasts, and honey is a healing for every disease."
10419 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj told us, al-Muharibi told us, from Layth, from Mujahid, regarding "healing," he said: "The healing is the Quran."
His saying, the Exalted: "And guidance and mercy."

10419 - Al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Rabi' told us, 'Abd al-Razzaq told us, al-Thawri told us, from Bayan, from al-Sha'bi, regarding "guidance," he said: "Guidance from misguidance."

10420 - Al-Hasan ibn Ahmad told us, Musa ibn Muhallim told us, Abu Bakr al-Hanafi told us, 'Abbad ibn Mansur told us, saying: I asked al-Hasan about His saying: "and guidance," he said: "It is the Quran."
