The second interpretation:
10636 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Safwan ibn Salih told us, Sa'id and Khulayd told us, from Qatadah regarding the saying of Allah: "A Book whose verses have been perfected": He said: "Allah perfected it against falsehood, then He detailed it."
10637 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh told us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam read: "Alif-Lam-Ra, A Book whose verses have been perfected," he said: "They are all 'muhkam' (perfected/decisive)," meaning: Surah Hud.

10638 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa' told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "Then they were detailed," he says: "They were explained."
The second interpretation:
10629 - Abu Sa'id al-Ashajj told us, 'Abd al-Hamid al-Himmani told us, from Abu Bakr al-Hudhali, from al-Hasan regarding "Then they were detailed," he said: "With the promise and the threat."
10630 - My father told us, Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umar al-'Adani told us, Sufyan told us, from a man, from al-Hasan regarding "detailed," he said: "With reward and punishment."
The third interpretation:
10631 - Abu Zur'ah told us, Safwan told us, al-Walid told us, Sa'id and Khulayd told us, from Qatadah regarding the saying of Allah: "A Book whose verses have been perfected, then they were detailed from One who is Wise, Acquainted": He said: "Then they were detailed by His knowledge, so He clarified His lawful from His forbidden, and His obedience from His disobedience."
The fourth interpretation:
10632 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj told us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam, meaning His saying: "detailed," he said: "Then He mentioned Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), and He judged therein between him and those who opposed him," and he recited: "The example of the two parties," the entire verse. Then He mentioned the people of Noah and said: "And He punished them after his long observation," then Hud, and he recited: "We saved Hud and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us. So this was the detail of that, and the first part of it was perfected (muhkam)." He said: "And my father used to say that," meaning: Zayd ibn Aslam.
