from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "a dwelling place," he said: "When they settle in the wombs of women and on the back of the earth, or in its belly, they have indeed settled."
His saying, the Exalted: "and its repository (mustawda‘aha)"
10686 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashaj told us, ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Musa told us, from Isra’il, from al-Suddi, from Murrah, from ‘Abd Allah regarding "a dwelling place and a repository," he said: "The repository is the place where he dies." It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas the like of this, and it was narrated from Mujahid in one of his two sayings the like of it.
10687 - Muhammad ibn ‘Ammar ibn al-Harith told us, ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Dashtaki told us, Abu Ja‘far al-Razi told us, from al-Rabi‘ ibn Anas regarding His saying: "He knows its dwelling place and its repository," he said: "Its repository is from where it dies and from where it is resurrected."
The Eighth Aspect:
10688 - Muhammad ibn Hammad al-Tahrani told us, Hafs ibn ‘Umar al-‘Adani told us, al-Hakam ibn Aban told us, from ‘Ikrimah, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding "and a repository," he said: "It is what was in the loins of men." It was narrated from Qays, Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, Mujahid, Abu ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, ‘Ata’ ibn Abi Rabah, Ibrahim al-Nakha‘i, Muhammad ibn Ka‘b al-Qurazi, Qatadah, al-Suddi, al-Dahhak, and ‘Ata’ al-Khurasani something similar.
The Ninth Aspect:
10689 - Al-Husayn ibn Abi al-Rabi‘ told us, ‘Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ibn ‘Uyaynah told us, from Isma‘il ibn Abi Khalid, from Ibrahim, he said: ‘Abd Allah said: "Its repository is in the Hereafter."

10690 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Ahmad ibn Sani‘ told us, Hushaym told us, Mansur told us, from al-Hasan regarding "and a repository," he said: "The man."

عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ قَالَ: إِذَا أَقَرُّوا فِي أَرْحَامِ النِّسَاءِ وَعَلَى ظَهْرِ الأَرْضِ أَوْ فِي بَطْنِهَا فَقَدِ اسْتَقَرُّوا.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا
١٠٦٨٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ، عَنْ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ: فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ قَالَ: الْمُسْتَوْدَعُ: الْمَكَانُ الَّذِي يَمُوتُ فِيهِ وَرُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِثْلُ هَذَا وَرُوِيَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ فِي أَحَدِ قَوْلَيْهِ مِثْلُهُ.
١٠٦٨٧ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمَّارِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّشْتَكِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: يَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا قَالَ:
مُسْتَوْدَعُهَا مِنْ حَيْثُ تَمُوتُ وَمِنْ حَيْثُ تُبْعَثُ.
