10839 - My father told us, Musa ibn Ayyub al-Nasibi told us, Makhlad ibn Husayn told us, from ‘Awf, from al-Hasan, he said: "The length of Noah’s ship was two thousand cubits and its width was one hundred cubits."

His saying, the Exalted: "under Our eyes."

10840 - Muhammad ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak told us, Hajjaj ibn Muhammad told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from ‘Ata’ al-Khurasani, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding: "And construct the ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration," he said: "By the eye of Allah and His revelation."

His saying, the Exalted: "and Our inspiration (wa wahyina)."

10841 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah told us, Shababah told us, Warqa’ told us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, regarding His saying: "and Our inspiration": "As We command you."

10842 - My father told us, ‘Ubayd ibn Adam told us, my father Shu‘ayb Abu Shaybah told us, from ‘Ata’ al-Khurasani regarding His saying: "and Our inspiration," meaning: "By the inspiration (revelation) of Allah."

10843 - My father told us, Mahmud ibn Khalid told us, ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-Wahid told us, from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Ata’, from his father, and regarding His saying: "under Our eyes and Our inspiration," it is said: "By the eye of Allah and His mercy."

His saying, the Exalted: "And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are [to be] drowned."

10844 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn told us, Muhammad ibn ‘Isa told us, Salamah told us, from Ibn Ishaq: "When Noah complained of that from them to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and sought victory over them, Allah revealed to him: 'And construct the ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration, and do not address Me concerning those who have wronged,' meaning: after today, 'indeed, they are to be drowned.'"

10845 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hisinjani told us, Abu al-Jamahir told us, Sa‘id ibn Bashir told us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And do not address Me concerning those who have wronged; indeed, they are [to be] drowned," he said: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, forbade Noah, peace be upon him, from interceding with Him for anyone."

His saying, the Exalted: "And he constructed the ship."

10846 - Yunus ibn ‘Abd al-A‘la informed us by way of recitation, Ibn Wahb told us, Malik told us, from Zayd ibn Aslam: "That Noah, peace be upon him, spent time planting trees, cutting them, and letting them dry, then one hundred [years] constructing it."
