12156 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Isma‘il, from Abu Salih regarding: "And for every people there is a guide." He said: He is their guide to good and to evil.
12157 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Ubayd narrated to us, from Isma‘il, from Yahya ibn Rafi‘ regarding: "And for every people there is a guide." He said: A leader (qa’id).
His saying: "Allah knows what every female bears."
12158 - It was mentioned from Yahya ibn Adam, from Sharik, from Salim, from Sa‘id regarding: "He knows what every female bears." He said: He knows whether it is a male or a female.
12159 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Shababah narrated to us, Qaza‘ah narrated to us, he said: I asked Ibn Abi Najih about this verse: "He knows what every female bears." He said: Of a male or a female.
12160 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, ‘Uqbah ibn Jarir narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Jabir, from ‘Ikrimah and Mujahid regarding: "He knows what every female bears." He said: Her pregnancy is nine months.
His saying: "And what the wombs diminish."
12161 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Muslim ibn Salam narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Salam narrated to us, from Khusayf, from Mujahid and Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding his saying: "And what the wombs diminish." He said: The wombs diminish by the woman seeing blood during her pregnancy, so that adds to the nine months.
12162 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, ‘Ali ibn ‘Abd al-Mu’min narrated to us, al-Muharibi narrated to us, from Abu Khalid al-Dalani, from Zurayq al-Jurjani, from al-Dahhak regarding His saying: "He knows what every female bears and what the wombs diminish and what they grow." Ibn ‘Abbas said: What they grow beyond nine, and what is less than nine. And al-Dahhak said: My mother gave birth to me having carried me in her womb for two years, and she gave birth to me while my incisor teeth had already emerged.
12163 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, ‘Uqbah narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Jabir, from Mujahid and ‘Ikrimah regarding: "He knows what every female bears and what the wombs diminish." He said: Her pregnancy is nine months. And regarding "what the wombs diminish," he said: When she sees blood, the fetus becomes thin (hashsha), and when she does not see blood, the fetus grows large.
