His saying: "And everything with Him is by a measure."
12171 - Muhammad ibn Sa‘d informed us in what he wrote to me, my father narrated to me, my uncle narrated to me, my father narrated to me from his father, from ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abbas, regarding his saying: "And everything with Him is by a measure": Meaning, He knows it.
12172 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hisinjani informed us, Abu al-Jumahir narrated to us, Sa‘id ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "And everything with Him is by a measure," meaning: By a fixed time; He preserves the sustenance of His creation and their appointed times, and has set for that a known time.
His saying: "The Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Grand, the Exalted."
12173 - ‘Abbas ibn Muhammad al-Duri narrated to us, Muhammad ibn al-Salt narrated to us, from Bishr ibn ‘Umarah, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas regarding His saying: "The Knower of the unseen and the witnessed," he said: The secret and the open.
His saying: "It is the same [to Him] whether one of you conceals his speech or speaks it openly."
12174 - Ahmad ibn Sinan narrated to us, Ya‘qub ibn Muhammad al-Zuhri narrated to us, ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn ‘Imran narrated to us, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Zayd ibn Aslam, from his father, from ‘Ata’ ibn Yasar, from Ibn ‘Abbas, he said: Allah, Blessed and Exalted, revealed concerning ‘Amir and Arbad and what they had intended regarding the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "It is the same [to Him] whether one of you conceals his speech or speaks it openly," the verse.
12175 - ‘Umar ibn Shabbah al-Numayri narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Samad ibn ‘Abd al-Warith narrated to us, Mastur ibn ‘Abbad narrated to us, from al-Hasan: "It is the same [to Him] whether one of you conceals his speech or speaks it openly," he said: He knows from the secret what He knows from the open, and He knows from the open what He knows from the secret.
12176 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Abu al-Jumahir narrated to us, Sa‘id ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "It is the same [to Him] whether one of you conceals his speech or speaks it openly": All of that is the same to Him; the secret is open to Him, and darkness is light to Him.
His saying, the Exalted: "And who is hidden by night."
12177 - ‘Umar ibn Shabbah narrated to us, ‘Abd al-Samad ibn ‘Abd al-Warith narrated to us, Mastur ibn ‘Ubadah narrated to us, from al-Hasan regarding His saying: "And who is hidden by night," he said: He knows from the night what He knows from the day, and He knows from the day what He knows from the night.
