12354 - From al-Hakam ibn Utaybah, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And there is not a thing but that with Us are its depositories, and We do not send it down except according to a known measure," he said: There is no year with more rain than another, nor less, but it rains upon one group and is withheld from others, and sometimes it is in the sea. He said: And it reached us that there descends with the rain more angels than the number of the children of Iblis and the children of Adam; they count every drop, where it falls, what it causes to grow, and who is provided for by that vegetation.

12355 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: The rain has not decreased since Allah sent it down, but one land receives more rain than another, then he recited: "And We do not send it down except according to a known measure."

12356 - From Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: No rain has descended except by a scale.

From Mu'awiyah, may Allah be pleased with him, that he said: Do you not know that the Book of Allah is the truth? They said: Yes.
