The jinn is one part out of seventy parts of the fire of Hell. Then he recited: "And the jinn We created before from the fire of scorching wind."
12382 - From Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "The believer's vision is one part out of seventy parts of prophecy, and this fire is one part out of seventy parts of the fire of the scorching wind from which the jinn were created," and he recited this verse: "And the jinn We created before from the fire of scorching wind."
12383 - From 'Amr ibn Dinar, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The jinn and the devils were created from the fire of the sun.
His saying: "He said, 'My Lord, then respite me until the day they are resurrected.'"
12384 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with both of them, regarding His saying: "He said, 'My Lord, then respite me until the day they are resurrected,'" he said: Iblis desired that he would not taste death, so it was said: "Indeed, you are of those reprieved until the day of the time well-known." He said: The first blowing [of the Trumpet] is when Iblis dies, and between the two blowings are forty years. He said: So Iblis dies for forty years.
His saying: "He said, 'Indeed, you are of those reprieved.'"
12385 - From Al-Suddi, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "He said, 'Indeed, you are of those reprieved,'" he said: So He did not reprieve him until the Day of Resurrection, but rather He reprieved him until the time well-known.
His saying: "This is a path straight upon Me."
12386 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "This is a path straight upon Me," he said: The truth returns to Allah, and upon it is His path; it does not deviate toward anything.
12387 - From Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him, that he recited: "This is a path straight upon Me," meaning elevated and straight.
His saying: "Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them."
12388 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them,"
