His saying: "They do not wait but for the angels to come to them."
12513 - From Qatadah regarding His saying: "They do not wait but for the angels to come to them," he said: [They wait] for death. He said in another verse: "And if you could see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved," and he is the Angel of Death, and he has messengers, "and your Lord’s command comes." And that is on the Day of Resurrection (1).
His saying: "For indeed, Allah does not guide those whom He leads astray."
12514 - From Ikrimah regarding His saying: "For indeed, Allah does not guide those whom He leads astray," he said: Whoever Allah leads astray, no one can guide (2).
His saying: "Be, and it is."
12515 - From Abu Dharr, from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, who said: "Allah says: O son of Adam, all of you are sinners except those whom I have pardoned; so seek My forgiveness, I will forgive you. All of you are poor except those whom I have enriched; so ask Me, I will give you. All of you are astray except those whom I have guided; so ask Me for guidance, I will guide you. And whoever seeks My forgiveness while knowing that I am capable of forgiving him, I forgive him and I do not mind. If the first and last of you, your living and your dead, your moist and your dry, were to gather upon the heart of the most wretched man among you, that would not diminish from My kingdom as much as the wing of a mosquito. If the first and last of you, your living and your dead, your moist and your dry, were to gather upon the heart of the most pious man among you, they would not increase My kingdom as much as the wing of a mosquito. If the first and last of you, your living and your dead, your moist and your dry, were to ask Me until the request of every one of them was fulfilled, and I gave them what they asked for, that would not decrease what is with Me as much as a needle dipped by one of you into the sea; and that is because I am Generous, Glorious, and Provider. My giving is speech, and My punishment is speech. My command for a thing, when I will it, is only that I say to it: 'Be, and it is.'"
His saying: "And those who migrated for the sake of Allah after they were wronged."
12516 - From Ibn Abbas regarding His saying: "And those who migrated for the sake of Allah after they were wronged," he said: They are a group from the people of Mecca who migrated to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, after they were wronged; the polytheists had wronged them (3).
12517 - From Dawud ibn Abi Hind, he said: "And those who migrated for the sake of Allah after they were wronged..." up to His saying: "...and upon their Lord they rely," was revealed regarding Abu Jandal ibn Suhayl (4).
