الترجمة · EN

His saying, the Almighty: "And man is ever hasty."

13202 - From Salman al-Farisi, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: "The first thing Allah created of Adam, peace be upon him, was his head. He began to look while he was being created, and his legs remained. When the time of the late afternoon (al-'asr) came, he said: 'O Lord, hasten [the rest of me] before the night.' That is His saying: 'And man is ever hasty.'"

His saying, the Almighty: "And We have effaced the sign of the night."

13203 - From Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And We have effaced the sign of the night," he said: "It is the blackness that is in the moon."

13204 - From Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding the verse, he said: "There was a sun at night and a sun during the day. Allah effaced the sun of the night, and that is the erasure which is in the moon."

His saying, the Almighty: "And We have effaced the sign of the night and made the sign of the day illuminating."

13205 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And We have effaced the sign of the night and made the sign of the day illuminating," he said: "The darkness of the night and the light of the day so that you may seek bounty from your Lord." He said: "He made for you a long space of time."

His saying, the Almighty: "We have clearly explained it."

13206 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "We have clearly explained it," he says: "We have clarified it."

His saying, the Almighty: "We have fastened his fate to his neck."

13207 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: "We have fastened his fate (ta'irahu) to his neck," he said: "His happiness and his wretchedness, and what Allah has decreed for him and against him, so it is fastened to him wherever he is."

13208 - From al-Dahhak, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "His fate to his neck," he said: "Abdullah (Ibn Mas'ud), may Allah be pleased with him, said: 'The wretchedness, happiness, provision, and lifespan.'"

13209 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "And We have fastened every man's fate to his neck," he said: "There is no newborn born but that there is a paper on his neck written on it whether he is wretched or happy."
