12772 - From Nafi', he said: 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar informed me regarding this verse: "And keep yourself patient with those who call upon their Lord," that they are those who attend the obligatory prayers.
12773 - From the path of 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from his father, from his grandfather, regarding His saying: "And keep yourself patient..." the verse, he said: "It was revealed concerning the morning prayer (Fajr) and the afternoon prayer ('Asr)."
12774 - From 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Utbah ibn al-Khaybar, regarding this verse, he said: "They are those who recite the Qur'an."
His saying: "And do not obey the one whose heart We have made heedless."
12775 - From Ibn Buraydah, he said: 'Uyaynah ibn Hisn entered upon the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) on a hot day, and Salman was with him, wearing a woolen cloak; the scent of sweat emanated from the wool. 'Uyaynah said: "O Muhammad, when we come to you, remove this one and those like him from your presence, so they do not bother us. When we leave, you and they are more knowledgeable." Then Allah revealed: "And do not obey the one whose heart We have made heedless..." the verse.
12776 - From al-Rabi', he said: He narrated to us that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) turned his attention toward Umayyah ibn Khalaf, while he was negligent and heedless of what was being said to him, so Allah revealed: "And do not obey the one whose heart We have made heedless..." the verse. He then returned to his companions and left Umayyah, and he found Salman reminding them. He said: "Praise be to Allah, who has not caused me to depart from the world until He showed me groups of my Ummah from among those whom He commanded me to keep myself patient with."
12777 - From the path of Mughirah, from Ibrahim, regarding His saying: "And keep yourself patient with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening," he said: "They are the people of Dhikr (remembrance)."
12778 - From Abu Ja'far, regarding the verse, he said: "He was commanded to keep himself patient with his companions, teaching them the Qur'an."
