تفسير ابن أبي حاتم
مجلد 7 · صفحة 263[سورة الكهف (١٨) : آية ٣٢]

الترجمة · EN

12798 - From Ka'b, he said: "If a garment from the garments of the people of Paradise were to be unfolded in the world today, those who look at it would fall unconscious, for their eyes would not be able to bear it."

12799 - From Sulaym ibn 'Amir, he said: "A man from the people of Paradise wears a suit from the suits of the people of Paradise, and he places it between his fingers, and nothing of it is visible. He puts it on and moves about until it covers his feet; he is clothed in a single hour with seventy garments... the lowest of which is like the Anemone flower (Shaqiq al-Nu'man). He wears seventy garments, and he almost disappears [within them]; yet no one in the world can wear seven garments [without them] constraining his neck."

12800 - From al-Haytham ibn Malik al-Ta'i, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "A man will recline on a couch for the duration of forty years without moving from it or becoming weary of it; there will come to him whatever his soul desires and whatever delights his eye."

12801 - From Thabit, he said: "It has reached us that a man will recline in Paradise for seventy years, having around him his wives, his servants, and what Allah has given him of honor and bounty. Then, when he happens to look, he will see wives of his whom he had not seen before that, and they will say: 'It is time for you to grant us a share of your attention.'"

12802 - From Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said: "The al-ara'ik (couches) are thrones within alcoves... upon them are beds, raised to a height of one farsakh in the sky."

His saying: "We have assigned to one of them two gardens of grapes."

12803 - From al-Suddi (may Allah be pleased with him), regarding His saying: "We have assigned to one of them two gardens of grapes," he said: "The jannah is the orchard (bustan). He had one orchard and one wall, and between them was a river, and that is why it was two gardens. He named it a garden [as a whole] because of the wall that adjoined them."
