His saying, the Almighty: "The Book."
11318 - al-Hasan ibn Muhammad al-Sabbah narrated to us, [saying] Asbat ibn Muhammad narrated to us, from Abu Bakr al-Hudhali, from al-Hasan, regarding the saying of Allah: "The Book," he said: The Qur'an. It was also narrated from ‘Atiyyah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, similar to that.
His saying, the Almighty: "...the clear [al-mubin]."
11319 - ‘Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani narrated to us, [saying] Abu al-Jumahir narrated to us, [saying] Sa’id ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Qatadah, [regarding] his saying: "Alif-Lam-Ra. These are the verses of the clear Book," meaning: And Allah is the One who makes clear its blessing, its guidance, and its rectitude.
His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, We have sent it down..."
11320 - My father narrated to us, [saying] ‘Abd Allah ibn Raja’ narrated to us, [saying] ‘Imran Abu al-‘Awwam al-Qattan informed us, from Qatadah, from Abu al-Malih, from Wa’ilah ibn al-Asqa’, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "The Qur'an was sent down on the twenty-fourth [night] that had passed of Ramadan."
His saying, the Almighty: "...an Arabic Qur'an..."
11321 - ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, [saying] ‘Abd al-Rahim al-Ruzayqi narrated to us, [saying] Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, [saying] Sayf ibn Sulayman narrated to me, [who] said: I heard Mujahid saying: The Qur'an was revealed in the tongue of Quraysh, and it is their speech.
His saying, the Almighty: "...so that you may understand."
11322 - Abu Zur’ah narrated to us, [saying] Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr narrated to us, [saying] Ibn Lahi’ah narrated to me, [saying] ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa’id ibn Jubayr, [regarding] his saying: "so that you may [la’allakum]," meaning: in order that.
His saying, the Almighty: "We relate to you the best of stories."
11323 - Abu Yahya Muhammad ibn Sa’id ibn Ghalib al-‘Attar narrated to us, [saying] ‘Amr ibn Muhammad al-‘Anqazi narrated to us, [saying] Khallad—and he is Ibn Muslim al-Saffar—narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Qays al-Mula’i, from ‘Amr ibn Murrah, from Mus’ab ibn Sa’d, from Sa’d, [who] said: The Qur'an was revealed to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
