13066 - From Ibn Abbas, he said: "We were in a circle in the Mosque of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, discussing the virtues of the Prophets. We mentioned Noah and the length of his worship, and we mentioned Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came out to us and said: 'What are you discussing among yourselves?' We mentioned it to him, and he said: 'As for that, it is not appropriate for anyone to be better than Yahya ibn Zakariyya (John son of Zechariah). Have you not heard how Allah described him in the Quran: "O Yahya, take the Scripture with power," until His saying: "And he was pious"? He never committed an evil deed, nor did he intend to do so.'"
