The Saying of the Exalted: "Tuwa."

13397 - From Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "In the sacred valley, Tuwa," meaning the sacred land. This is because he passed by its valley at night, and it was traversed (tuwiya). It is said: "I traversed (tawaytu) such-and-such a valley," and "the traverser (al-tawi) of the night," and he ascended to the highest part of the valley. That was the Prophet of Allah, Moses (peace be upon him).

13398 - From Ibn Abi Najih (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "Tuwa," he said: "Traverse the earth barefoot, just as you enter the Ka'bah barefoot." He says: "Out of the blessing of this valley." This is the statement of Sa'id ibn Jubayr; he says: "Tuwa is the name of the valley."

The Saying of the Exalted: "And establish prayer for My remembrance."

13399 - From Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding His saying: "And establish prayer for My remembrance," he said: "When a servant prays, he remembers his Lord."

13400 - From Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned from Khaybar, he traveled during the night until sleepiness overtook him. He made his mount kneel and rested. Then he said: "O Bilal, keep watch for us tonight." So Bilal prayed. Then he leaned against his mount, facing the dawn, and his eyes overcame him, so he slept. None of them woke up until the sun hit them. The first of them to wake up was the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and he said: "O Bilal!" Bilal said: "May my father be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah! The One who took my soul is the One who took your soul." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Lead the way (i.e., move forward)." Then he made the mount kneel, performed ablution, established the prayer, and then prayed as he usually prayed for the time, with deliberation. Then he said: "Whoever forgets a prayer, let him pray it when he remembers it, for Allah said: 'Establish prayer for My remembrance.'" Ibn Shihab used to recite it as "li-dhikray (for My remembrance)."

The Saying of the Exalted: "Indeed, the Hour is coming. I almost conceal it."

13401 - From Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "Indeed, the Hour is coming. I almost conceal it," he says: "I do not disclose it to anyone other than Myself."

13402 - From Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding His saying: "Indeed, the Hour is coming. I almost conceal it," he said: "I almost conceal it even from Myself."
