الترجمة · EN

13479 - From 'Ali ibn al-Husayn, Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn Hamzah, told us 'Ali ibn al-Husayn ibn Waqid, from his father, from Yazid al-Nahwi, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas who said: "The magicians were seventy men; they became sorcerers in the morning and martyrs by the evening."

The Saying of the Exalted: "We will not prefer you over what has come to us of clear signs."

13480 - From al-Qasim ibn Abi Bazzah who said: "When they fell down in prostration, they saw the people of the Fire and the people of Paradise, and the reward of both parties, so they said: 'We will not prefer you over what has come to us of clear signs.'"

13481 - My father told us, Musaib ibn Wadih told us in Mecca, Ibn al-Mubarak told us, who said: Al-Awza'i said: "When the magicians fell down in prostration, Paradise was raised up for them until they looked upon it."

The Saying of the Exalted: "And what you compelled us to do of magic."

13482 - My father told us, Nu'aym ibn Hammad told us, Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah told us, from Abu Sa'id, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "And what you compelled us to do of magic," he said: "Pharaoh seized forty boys from the Children of Israel and ordered that they be taught magic in al-Farma, and he said: 'Teach them a teaching the like of which no one on earth knows.'" Ibn 'Abbas said: "They are among those who believed in Musa, and they are the ones who said: 'We have believed in our Lord so that He may forgive us our faults and what you compelled us to do of magic.'"

The Saying of the Exalted: "And Allah is better and more enduring."

13483 - From Muhammad ibn Ka'b al-Qurazi regarding His saying: "And Allah is better and more enduring," he said: "Better than you if I obey, and more enduring than you in punishment if I disobey."

13484 - From Abu Sa'id al-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) gave a sermon and came to this verse: 'Indeed, he who comes to his Lord as a criminal, then for him is Hell; he will neither die therein nor live.' Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said...
