14650 - Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani narrated to us, [saying]: Musaddad reported to us, [saying]: Bishr ibn al-Fadl reported to us, [saying]: 'Awf reported to us, from Sa'id ibn Abi al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "Men whom neither merchandise nor sale diverts from the remembrance of Allah," he said: A people in their commerce and their sales; their commerce and their sales do not divert them from the remembrance of Allah, so that they attend to it at its [proper] time.

14651 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Abu al-Zafar ibn 'Abd al-Salam ibn Mutahhar reported to us, [saying]: Ja'far ibn Sulayman reported to us, from 'Amr ibn Dinar al-A'war, who said: I was with Salim ibn 'Abd Allah, and we were heading to the mosque. We passed by the market of Medina, and they had stood up for prayer and covered their merchandise. Salim looked at their merchandise, with no one with it, and he recited this verse: "Men whom neither merchandise nor sale diverts from the remembrance of Allah," then he said: These are they.

14652 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Ishaq ibn Khalid al-Bazzar al-A'sam reported to us, [saying]: Zufar reported to us, from 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn Khalid al-Tirmidhi, from Talhah, from 'Ata': "Men whom neither merchandise nor sale diverts from the remembrance of Allah and the performance of prayer," he said: Trading and selling would not divert them from the places of the rights of Allah which He has made obligatory upon them to perform at their [proper] times.

14653 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: al-Hasan ibn 'Abd Allah al-Dimashqi reported to us, [saying]: Damrah reported to us, from Ibn Shawdhab, from Matar, regarding the saying of Allah: "Men whom neither merchandise nor sale diverts from the remembrance of Allah," he said: They were indeed buying and selling, but one of them, when he heard the call [to prayer] and his scale was in his hand, would lower it and proceed to the prayer.

His saying, the Exalted: "From the remembrance of Allah."

14654 - My father narrated to us, [saying]: Abu Salih reported to us, [saying]: Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas, regarding His saying: "From the remembrance of Allah," he says: From the prescribed prayer. A similar [report] was narrated from al-Rabi' ibn Anas and Muqatil ibn Hayyan.

His saying, the Exalted: "And the performance of prayer."

14655 - It was read to Yunus ibn 'Abd al-A'la, [who said]: Ibn Wahb informed us, [saying]: 'Abd Allah ibn 'Ayyash informed me, from Zayd ibn Aslam, regarding the saying of Allah: "And the performance of prayer," he said: The establishment of the religion.
