are the defiantly disobedient." It reached us—and Allah knows best—that he means by "whoever disbelieves," he says: Whoever disbelieves in this blessing which He mentioned and which He bestowed upon them, and for which He favored them, then those are the defiantly disobedient.

His saying (Most High): "Then those are the defiantly disobedient"

14779 - It was mentioned from Sulayman ibn Harb, Hammad ibn Zayd reported to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from Mujahid: "Then those are the defiantly disobedient," meaning: the disobedient.

His saying (Most High): "And establish the prayer and give the zakah"

His saying (Most High): "And obey the Messenger so that you may receive mercy"

And when you read "mu‘jizin" (causing failure), he says: delaying.

His saying (Most High): "And their refuge is the Fire, and wretched is the destination"

14785 - Muhammad ibn al-‘Abbas, the freed slave of the Banu Hashim, narrated to us, Muhammad ibn ‘Amr reported to us, Salamah reported to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said: "And their refuge is the Fire, and wretched is the destination," meaning: Do not think that they have the outcome of victory or superiority over you as long as you hold fast to Me and follow My command.
