His saying, the Almighty: "Nay, they denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blazing Fire."
14998 - My father narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd al-Hamid reported to us, from Yahya ibn Yaman, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding "al-Sa'ir" (the Blazing Fire), he said: It is a valley of intense heat in Hell. "When it sees them from a far place."
His saying, the Almighty: "When it sees them from a far place."
14999 - Idris ibn Hatim ibn al-Ahnaf al-Wasiti narrated to us that he heard Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Wasiti, from Asbagh ibn Zayd, from Khalid ibn Kathir, from Khalid ibn Durayk, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever attributes to me what I have not said, or claims to be the son of someone other than his parents, or allies himself with other than his masters, let him take his seat between the two eyes of Hell." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, does it have two eyes?" He replied: "Have you not heard Allah saying: 'When it sees them from a far place,' [the verse]."
His saying, the Almighty: "From a far place."
15000 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali reported to us, 'Amir reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "From a far place," he said: From a distance of a hundred years' journey.
His saying, the Almighty: "They hear its fury and roaring."
15001 - My father narrated to us, 'Ali ibn Muhammad al-Tanafisi reported to us, Abu Bakr ibn 'Ayyash reported to us, from 'Isa ibn Sulaym, from Abu Wa'il who said: We went out with 'Abd Allah [ibn Mas'ud], and with us was Rabi' ibn Khuthaym. They passed by a blacksmith, and 'Abd Allah stood looking at a piece of iron in the fire, and Rabi' ibn Khuthaym looked at it and swayed as if to collapse. Then 'Abd Allah passed by an oven on the bank of the Euphrates, and when he saw it and the fire blazing within it, he recited this verse: "When it sees them from a far place, they hear its fury and roaring" [the verse], and he fell unconscious. They carried him to his family, and 'Abd Allah kept watch over him until noon, but he did not regain consciousness.

١٤٩٩٩ - حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ الأَحْنَفِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْحَسَنِ الْوَاسِطِيَّ، عَنْ أَصْبَغَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ دُرَيْكٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ يَقُلْ عَلَيَّ مَا لَمْ أَقَلْ وَادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ وَالِدَيْهِ وَانْتَمَى إِلَى غَيْرِ مَوَالِيهِ فَيَتَبَوَّأْ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْ جَهَنَّمَ مَقْعَدًا قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَهَلْ لَهَا مِنْ عَيْنَيْنِ؟ قَالَ: أَمَا سَمِعْتُمُ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ: إِذَا رَأَتْهُمْ مِنْ مَكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ الآيَةَ «٢» .

١٥٠٠٠ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا عَامِرٌ، ثنا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ قوله: مِنْ مَكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ قَالَ: مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ مِائَةِ عَامٍ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: سَمِعُوا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا
١٥٠٠١ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَمَعَنَا رَبِيعُ بن خيثم فَمَرُّوا عَلَى حَدَّادٍ فَقَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى حَدِيدَةٍ فِي النَّارِ وَنَظَرَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ خيثم إِلَيْهَا فَتَمَايَلَ لِيَسْقُطَ فَمَرَّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَلَى أَتُّونٍ عَلَى شَاطِئِ الْفُرَاتِ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَالنَّارُ تَلْتَهِبُ فِي جَوْفِهِ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ: إِذَا رَأَتْهُمْ مِنْ مَكَانٍ بَعِيدٍ سَمِعُوا لَهَا تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفِيرًا الآيَةَ صَعِقَ فَحَمَلُوهُ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَرَابَطَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِلَى الظُّهْرِ فَلَمْ يفق.
