[His saying, the Almighty: "And made them as dust dispersed."]

15069 - My father narrated to me, Qabisah reported to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Harith, from ‘Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding "dust dispersed," he said: It scatters from the ventilation opening. And "scattered dust" [he said]: The swirling dust of beasts.

15070 - ‘Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Musaddad reported to us, Abu al-Ahwas reported to us, Abu Ishaq reported to us, from al-Harith, from ‘Ali, regarding His saying: "dust dispersed," he said: The "haba'" (dust) is the swirling dust of beasts. It has been narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas in some reports, and ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam and al-Dahhak, something similar.

15071 - ‘Ali ibn al-Hasan narrated to us, Musaddad reported to us, Muhammad ibn Jabir reported to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, from ‘Aqil al-Jazari, from ‘Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: "dust dispersed," he said: The sunbeam when it enters the ventilation opening. It has been narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas in some reports, and Mujahid, Abu Malik, ‘Ikrimah, Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, and al-Dahhak in one of the reports, something similar.

15072 - Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us, Ibn ‘Ulayyah reported to us, from Abu Raja’, from al-Hasan, regarding His saying: "And We proceeded to what they had done of deeds and made them as dust dispersed," he said: The sunbeam in the ventilation opening of one of you; if he were to go to grasp it, he would not be able to.

15073 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu‘awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding His saying: "dust dispersed," he says: The poured-out water.

And the fourth viewpoint:

15074 - My father narrated to us, Nasr ibn ‘Ali reported to us, my father informed me, from Khalid ibn Qays, from Qatadah, regarding His saying: "dust dispersed," he said: Have you not seen the dryness of trees when the wind scatters it? That is it, meaning the leaves.
