15076 - My father narrated to us, ‘Abd Allah ibn Salih ibn Muslim reported to us, Fudayl ibn Marzuq informed us, from ‘Atiyyah al-‘Awfi, from Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Indeed, the first group to enter Paradise on the Day of Resurrection will have faces like the moon on the night of the full moon, and the second group will be the color of the most beautiful brilliant star in the sky."

His saying, the Almighty: "On that day"

15077 - Abu Zur‘ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn ‘Abd Allah ibn Bukayr reported to us, Ibn Lahi‘ah narrated to me, ‘Ata’ ibn Dinar narrated to me, from Sa‘id ibn Jubayr, regarding His saying: "On that day," he means the Day of Resurrection.

His saying, the Almighty: "Better as a place of settlement"

15078 - My father narrated to us, ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Hamzah ibn Isma‘il reported to us, Yahya ibn al-Durays narrated to me, he said: I heard my father, Hamzah ibn Isma‘il, say: Abu Sinan reported to us, regarding His saying: "Better as a place of settlement," he said: The place of settlement is Paradise, and the resting place (maqil) is below them.

His saying, the Almighty: "And better as a place of rest"

15079 - Usayd ibn ‘Asim narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn Hafs reported to us, Sufyan reported to us, from Maysarah, from al-Minhal, from Abu ‘Ubaydah, from Ibn Mas‘ud, regarding the saying of Allah: "The companions of Paradise on that day are better as a place of settlement and better as a place of rest," he said: The day will not reach its midpoint before these and those have taken their midday rest (qaylulah). Then he recited: "The companions of Paradise on that day are better as a place of settlement and better as a place of rest." Then, their place of rest will be toward the Hellfire.

15080 - My father narrated to us, ‘Isa ibn Yunus al-Ramli reported to us, Dawud ibn al-Jarrah reported to us, from Nahshal, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn ‘Abbas, regarding the saying of Allah: "The companions of Paradise on that day are better as a place of settlement and better as a place of rest," he said: It is only a morning rest; the allies of Allah will rest on couches with the wide-eyed houris, and the enemies of Allah will rest with the chained devils.
