15208 - I read to Muhammad ibn al-Fadl, Muhammad ibn 'Ali reported to us, Muhammad ibn Muzahim reported to us, Bukayr ibn Ma'ruf reported to us, from Muqatil ibn Hayyan regarding His saying: "more astray in path," he says: "He has missed the path."

His saying, the Exalted: "Have you not seen your Lord, how He extended the shadow?"

15209 - My father narrated to us, Yazid ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Tallas reported to us, Ishaq ibn Sulayman reported to us, from Abu Sinan al-Shaybani, from Abu Ishaq al-Hamdani, from 'Amr ibn Maymun al-Awdi regarding His saying: "Have you not seen your Lord, how He extended the shadow?" He said: "It is the sun removing it from you."

15210 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "He extended the shadow," he says: "That which is between the break of dawn and the rising of the sun."

15211 - My father narrated to us, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj reported to us, Ibn Wahb informed me, 'Amr ibn al-Harith informed us, from Qays al-Hajib, who heard Abu Hafs al-Madini, who heard Ibn 'Abbas say regarding the saying of Allah: "He extended the shadow; and if He willed, He could have made it stationary," he said: "It is after dawn, before the rising of the sun." And it was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, Abu Malik, Sa'id ibn Jubayr, Abu al-'Aliyah, Ibrahim al-Nakha'i, Masruq, al-Hasan, al-Dahhak, al-Suddi, Qatadah, and Abu Sinan al-Shaybani something similar.

15212 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "how He extended the shadow," he said: "The early morning before the rising of the sun."

15213 - Al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid ibn Mazid al-Bayruti informed us by recitation, Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb ibn Shabur reported to us, 'Uthman ibn 'Ata' informed me, from his father, regarding "He extended the shadow," Ibn 'Ata' said: "Before the rising of the sun in the early morning."

15214 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, Shayban reported to us, Mubarak reported to us, from al-Hasan regarding His saying: "Have you not seen your Lord, how He extended the shadow?" He said: "He extended it from the east to the west, and that is what is between the break of dawn and the rising of the sun."
