15215 - My father narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sulayman ibn Nadlah al-Khuza'i reported to us, from Muslim ibn Khalid, from Ayyub ibn Musa regarding His saying: "Have you not seen your Lord, how He extended the shadow?" He said: "The entire earth is a shadow between the dawn prayer and the rising of the sun."
His saying, the Exalted: "And if He willed, He could have made it stationary."
15216 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas: "And if He willed, He could have made it stationary," he says: "Permanent."
15217 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "made it stationary," he said: "The sun would not reach it, and it would not vanish."
15218 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Musa reported to us, Ibn Abi Za'idah informed us, Mubarak informed us, from al-Hasan: "And if He willed, He could have made it stationary," he said: "He would have left it as it is, an extended shadow."
15219 - 'Ali ibn al-Hasan al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Shayban reported to us, Mubarak reported to us, al-Hasan reported to us: "And if He willed, He could have made it stationary," he said: "He would have maintained it as it is extended."
His saying, the Exalted: "Then We made the sun for it an indication."
15220 - Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding His saying: "the sun for it an indication," he said: "It encompasses it."
15221 - My father narrated to us, Abu Salih reported to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from Ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "Then We made the sun for it an indication," he says: "The rising of the sun."
15222 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Hisinjani narrated to us, Musaddad reported to us, Hushaym reported to us, from al-'Awwam, from Ibrahim al-Taymi regarding His saying: "Then We made the sun for it an indication," he said: "Upon the shadow."
15223 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas informed us, Yazid reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah regarding His saying: "Then We made the sun for it an indication," he said: "It follows it and tracks it until it comes upon all of it."
15224 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman ibn al-Ash'ath narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali ibn Mihran reported to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "Then We made the sun for it an indication," he says: "It tracks it and seizes it wherever it may be."

١٥٢١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى فِي قَوْلِهِ: أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ قَالَ:
الأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا ظِلٌّ مَا بَيْنَ صَلاةِ الْغَدَاةِ إِلَى طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا
١٥٢١٦ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا يَقُولُ: دَائِمًا.
١٥٢١٧ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ قوله: لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا لَا تُصِيبُهُ الشَّمْسُ وَلا يَزُولُ.
١٥٢١٨ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ أَنْبَأَ مُبَارَكُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ: وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا قَالَ: يَدَعُهُ كَمَا هُوَ ظِلٌّ مَمْدُد.
١٥٢١٩ - حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْهِسِنْجَانِيُّ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، ثنا مُبَارَكٌ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ: وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا قَالَ: أَقَرَّهُ كَمَا هُوَ مَمْدُودٌ.
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ثم جعلنا الشمس عليه دليلا
١٥٢٢٠ - حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، ثنا شَبَابَةُ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ «١» قوله: الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلا قَالَ: تَحْوِيهِ.

١٥٢٢٣ - حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ، ثنا يَزِيدُ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ: ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلا تَتْلُوهُ وَتَتْبَعُهُ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَ عَلَيْهِ كُلِّهِ.
