تفسير ابن أبي حاتم
مجلد 8 · صفحة 25[سورة الأنبياء (٢١) : آية ٩٧]

الترجمة · EN

They will say: 'There remains no one on earth or in heaven except that we have killed him.' Then the believers will say: 'O Spirit of Allah (Jesus), call upon Allah against them.' So he will call upon Allah against them, and Allah will send the "naghaf" (worms) into their ears, killing them all in a single night until the earth stinks from their carcasses. The believers will then say: 'O Spirit of Allah, call upon Allah, for we fear we shall die from the stench of their carcasses.' He will call upon Allah, and He will send down upon them a downpour from the sky, which will turn them into a flood and cast them into the sea.

His saying, the Almighty: "And the True Promise has approached."

13731 - From Ibn Zayd, regarding "And the True Promise has approached," he said: "The Day of Resurrection has approached."

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, you and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell; you will be coming to it."

13732 - From Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: "When 'Indeed, you and what you worship other than Allah are the firewood of Hell; you will be coming to it' was revealed, the polytheists said: 'But the angels, Jesus, and 'Uzayr are worshipped besides Allah.' So it was revealed: 'Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us – they are from it far removed,' referring to Jesus, 'Uzayr, and the angels."

His saying, the Almighty: "For them therein is groaning, and they therein do not hear."

13733 - My father narrated to us, [saying] 'Ali ibn Muhammad al-Tanafisi narrated to us, [saying] Ibn Fudayl narrated to us, [saying] 'Abd al-Rahman (meaning al-Mas'udi) narrated to us, from his father, who said: Ibn Mas'ud said: "When those who are to remain eternally in the Fire remain, they will be placed into coffins of fire, containing nails of fire, such that no one among them will see that anyone else is being punished in the Fire but himself." Then 'Abd Allah recited: "For them therein is groaning, and they therein do not hear."

His saying, the Almighty: "Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us – they are from it far removed."

13734 - Al-Fadl ibn Ya'qub al-Rukhani narrated to us, [saying] Sa'id ibn Maslamah ibn 'Abd al-Malik narrated to us, [saying] al-Layth ibn Abi Sulaym narrated to us, from Mughith, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), regarding His saying: "Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us – they are from it far removed," he said: "Jesus, 'Uzayr, and the angels."
