15427 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id regarding the saying of Allah: "Allah will replace," i.e., Allah will transform.
15428 - My father narrated to me, Safwan ibn Salih reported to us, al-Walid reported to us, Sa'id ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz reported to us, from Makhul regarding the saying of Allah: "then those—Allah will replace their evil deeds with good deeds," he said: He makes their evil deeds into good deeds.
His saying, the Exalted: "then those—Allah will replace their evil deeds with good deeds"

15429 - My father narrated to us, Hisham ibn 'Ammar reported to us, Sulayman ibn Musa al-Zuhri Abu Dawud reported to us, Abu al-'Anbas reported to us, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, he said: Allah will surely bring people on the Day of Resurrection who saw that they had accumulated many evil deeds. It was asked: "Who are they, O Abu Hurayrah?" He said: "Those whose evil deeds Allah replaces with good deeds."
15430 - My father narrated to us, 'Amr ibn Rafi' reported to us, Hushaym informed us, Yunus ibn 'Ubayd informed us, from Shu'ayb ibn al-Habhab: It was said to Abu al-'Aliyah that people are saying they wish they had accumulated more sins. Abu al-'Aliyah said: "Why do they say that?" He said: "It was said: They interpret this verse: 'then those—Allah will replace their evil deeds with good deeds.'" So he sought refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan and then recited this verse: "On the Day every soul will find what it has done of good present"—the verse.
15431 - Muhammad ibn 'Ammar ibn al-Harith narrated to us, Sahl ibn Bakkar reported to us, Abu 'Awanah reported to us, from Jabir, from Mujahid, from Ibn 'Abbas: "then those—Allah will replace their evil deeds with good deeds," he said:
It was replaced, after its heat, with autumn; and after the length of breath, with a swift gallop.
15432 - Abu Salih narrated to us, Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to me, from 'Ali ibn Abi Talhah, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding His saying: "then those—Allah will replace their evil deeds with good deeds," he said: They are the believers who, before their belief, were upon evil deeds; so Allah desired better for them than that, and He transformed them to good deeds, and He substituted the good deeds in place of the evil deeds.
15433 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya ibn 'Abd Allah reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to me, 'Ata' narrated to me, from Sa'id regarding His saying: "then those—Allah will replace their evil deeds with good deeds," he said: He replaces for them Islam in place of shirk, chastity in place of adultery, and abstinence in place of killing.
