15472 - 'Ali ibn al-Husayn narrated to us, 'Amr ibn 'Ali reported to us, al-Mu'tamir ibn Sulayman reported to us, from his father, from Sayyar Abu al-Hakam regarding "And when they pass by vain talk, they pass by with dignity," he said: They spoke of it indirectly.

15473 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali reported to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat reported to us, Asbat reported to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "They pass by with dignity," he said: They turn away from them and do not speak to them.

His saying, the Exalted: "And those who, when they are reminded..."

15474 - Abu Yazid al-Qaratisi informed us in what he wrote to me, Asbagh ibn al-Faraj reported to us, he said: I heard 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Zayd ibn Aslam regarding the saying of Allah: "And those who, when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord," he said: These are the Muhajirun (the Emigrants).

His saying, the Exalted: "...of the verses of their Lord"

15475 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas ibn al-Walid reported to us, Yazid ibn Zuray', reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "And those who, when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord," he says: They benefited from what they heard from the Book of Allah.

His saying, the Exalted: "...do not fall upon them deaf and blind"

15476 - al-Hajjaj ibn Hamzah narrated to us, Shababah reported to us, Warqa' reported to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid regarding his saying: "Do not fall upon them deaf and blind," meaning they do not hear, they do not see, and they do not understand the truth.

15477 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, al-'Abbas reported to us, Yazid reported to us, Sa'id reported to us, from Qatadah regarding his saying: "And those who, when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind," he says: They do not become deaf to the truth and they do not become blind to it. By Allah, they are a people who have understood from Allah and benefited from what they heard from the Book of Allah.

15478 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali reported to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat reported to us, Asbat reported to us regarding his saying: "And those who, when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind," he says: They become deaf to them and blind to them.
