His saying, Exalted is He: "Indeed in that is a sign."
15540 - Abu Sa'id ibn Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, Abu Usamah reported to us, Sufyan reported to us, from Simak, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "Indeed in that is a sign," he said: A mark. Do you not see the man, when he wants to send for his family regarding a need, he sends his signet ring or his garment, and they know it is true? It was similarly narrated from Sa'id ibn Jubayr.
His saying: "But most of them were not believers."
15541 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah reported to us, 'Ata' informed me, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr regarding His saying: "believers," meaning: those who attest to the truth.
His saying: "And indeed, your Lord—He is the Exalted in Might."
15542 - 'Isam ibn Rawwad narrated to us, Adam reported to us, Abu Ja'far reported to us, from al-Rabi' ibn Anas, from Abu al-'Aliyah regarding "the Exalted in Might (al-'Aziz)," he said: Exalted in His vengeance when He takes vengeance. It was similarly narrated from Qatadah and al-Rabi' ibn Anas.
15543 - Muhammad ibn Yahya narrated to us, Abu Ghassan informed us, Maslamah reported to us, who said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq said regarding "the Exalted in Might (al-'Aziz)": The Exalted in His victory over those who disbelieve in Him when He wills.
His saying: "The Merciful."
15544 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Yahya reported to us, Ibn Lahi'ah informed me, 'Ata' informed me, from Sa'id regarding the saying of Allah: "The Merciful," meaning: merciful to them after repentance.
His saying: "And [mention] when your Lord called Moses."
15545 - 'Abd Allah ibn Sulayman narrated to us, al-Husayn ibn 'Ali reported to us, 'Amir ibn al-Furat reported to us, from Asbat, from al-Suddi regarding "And [mention] when your Lord called Moses," he said: When he was called from the side of the blessed Mount.
His saying: "That you should go to the wrongdoing people."
15546 - Abu Zur'ah narrated to us, Minjab ibn al-Harith reported to us, Bishr ibn 'Umarah informed us, from Abu Rawq, from al-Dahhak, from Ibn 'Abbas regarding "the wrongdoing," he says: the disbelievers.
