13892 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: 'The known days are the ten days.'

13893 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: 'The known days: are the Day of Sacrifice (Yawm al-Nahr) and the three days following it.'

13894 - From Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: 'The known days and the counted days are all four days. The known days are the Day of Sacrifice and the two days following it. The counted days are the three days after the Day of Sacrifice.'

His saying, the Almighty: 'Then eat thereof and feed the miserable and the poor.'

13895 - From Ibrahim, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: 'The polytheists would not eat from the sacrifices of their offerings, so Allah revealed: "Then eat thereof and feed the miserable and the poor." Thus, He permitted it to the Muslims, so whoever wished to eat, ate, and whoever did not wish to, did not eat.'

13896 - From Mujahid, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding His saying: 'Then eat thereof,' he said: 'Ibn Mas'ud used to say to the one who sent his sacrificial offering with him: Eat a third, give a third in charity, and gift a third to the family of Utbah.'

13897 - From Jabir ibn Abdullah, he said: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, slaughtered a portion of every camel, and it was placed in a pot. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and Ali ate from the meat and sipped some of the broth.' Sufyan said: 'This is because Allah says: "Then eat thereof."

13898 - From Ikrimah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: 'The miserable (al-ba'is) is the distressed one who is suffering, and the poor is the weak one.'

His saying, the Almighty: 'Then let them complete their unkemptness.'

13899 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: 'The unkemptness (al-tafath) is the completion of the entire rituals.'

13900 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding the unkemptness, he said: 'Shaving the head, trimming the sides [of the hair], plucking the armpit hair, shaving the pubic hair, standing at Arafat, performing the Sa'i between Safa and Marwah, stoning the Jamarat, clipping the nails, trimming the mustache, and slaughtering.'

13901 - From Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, regarding His saying: 'Then let them complete their unkemptness,' he said:
