16487 - Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Ahmasi narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, al-Salt ibn Bahram narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mas'ud al-'Abdi, from Abu al-Mu'tamir, or from Abu al-Juwayriyah—al-Salt was unsure—he said: 'Ali said on the pulpit: "Ask me." Ibn al-Kawwa' said: "Are women approached from their backs?" 'Ali said: "You have debased yourself; may Allah debase you. Have you not heard His saying: 'Do you commit such immorality?'"

16490 - Ahmad ibn 'Uthman ibn Hakim al-Awdi informed me in what he wrote to me, Ahmad ibn al-Mufaddal narrated to us, Asbat narrated to us, from al-Suddi regarding His saying: "Expel the family of Lot from your city; indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure," he said: They refrain [from sin].
